In the early hours of 8th January, 2008 my daughter Katie Louise Sisson left the house never to be seen alive again.
On the 9th January I reported Katie missing to the police and a missing persons enquiry was launched. On the 11th January the burned body of Katie was found in a disused barn opposite Katie’s home.
Police enquiries established that the last person known to have seen Katie alive was her ex boyfriend who had gone to her house and then across to the barn with Katie in the early hours of the morning of the 8th January.
Katie had extensive internal bruising to her jaw, side of the head and top of the head consistent with blunt force trauma, i.e. being hit with object or fist. She had bruising to her wrist consistent with being forcefully held and showed possible signs of asphyxiation. Her body was also set alight after her death.
The Pathologist, Prof. Guy Rutty, could not be certain which, if any, of the injuries to Katie caused her death. Therefore a finding of unascertained was recorded as to cause of death. Due to the time lapse in Katie being found the time of death was also impossible to ascertain. However, he did find that Katie did not die from natural causes.
It was also found that Katie was dead before her body was set alight by a person holding a naked flame to the body, possibly using leaves as kindling.
The aim of this web site is to find anyone who can help to find the cause of death, time of death and person or persons responsible for Katie’s death.
There is currently a £20,000 reward in place for anyone who can provide information leading to arrest or conviction.
I firmly believe life will pull up the person responsible for this crime. Therefore, I am asking for help from life within this world. Be you a pathologist, forensic scientist, medical student, researcher or member of the public. Please help me get the evidence required to bring the perpetrator of this crime to justice.
